Shattuck St. Mary’s School in Fairbault wrote beautiful letters for Soldiers and bundled with candy bars. During January we’ve sent 240 Candy Bar Bundles, 44 Arctic Tent packs (each has enough materials for the 9 Soldiers assigned to live in a Arctic Tent), 50 Thank You Bags, hygiene items, clothing, entertainment and books. The total shipping has been of $917. That doesn’t include Coffee Bars, candy bar purchases, etc!

Letters are a huge encouragement to our military members far from home, training to protect our country. We combine with a candy bar and a note pointing them to their Chaplain for confidential counseling that won’t affect their military record on bases with high suicide rates. Coffee Bars offer a sweet treat, a cup of something warm to start the day. A Chaplain’s Coffee Bar allow the Soldiers to see their Chaplain as a friend and a safe place to share stressors and find healing.

We had a special request for as our Soldiers are preparing to go back to the field for more intense training. Each Arctic tent holds 9 Soldiers. Each pack has 9 granola bars, 9 candy bars, 9 packs of hot chocolate or cider, one letter and one pack of body wipes. The Soldiers are scheduled to go out to field exercises- living in tents where temperatures can drop from -40 to -60. He'd like to encourage the Soldiers by visiting each of the 40 tents and handing out 'Tent Packs'. Each pack would hold supplies for the nine Soldiers living in that tent, and include a couple of items.
