The prayer team of Operation Empowering Hope continued as his Chaplain (half the unit Ministry team) prepared to go back to the States, leaving him to serve by himself. He learned he would be in the last flight group to leave.“I'm scared, but I have faith, and I trust and believe... Thank you so much for the Prayers!”
He shared an amazing story about a Reserve unit from Puerto Rico. One of the leaders came over and asked for some chairs, and while waiting, he was offered chocolate. In the conversation, he mentioned he had 800 Soldiers living in tents with limited access to supplies. Our guy didn't hesitate and gave him 4 boxes with all kinds of donations (board games, and of course, chocolate bars were his favorites). He came in at the right time. They were able to visit and pray with the Puerto Rican unit that weekend. That prayer meeting would never have happened without local support!
