According to Mayo, ‘post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's caused by an extremely stressful or terrifying event — either being part of it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety and uncontrollable thoughts about the event.’ Did you know that PTSD can also result from hearing other people’s stories? Many who serve or have served continue to feel the results of that service in the form of PTSD. Want to help get the word out to active Soldiers that they can get confidential treatment via there Chaplain? Donate at the website www.operationempoweringhope.com and/or volunteer every 2nd & 4th Thursday!
